TECHNOLOGY STANDARDS FOR LANGUAGE LEARNERS

Goal 1. Language teachers acquire and maintain foundational knowledge and skills in technology for professional purposes.

STANDARD 1: Language teachers demonstrate to have knowledge and skills with basic technological concepts as well as operational competence for different situations when teaching.

Performance indicators  
Language teachers can:
  • Work basic functions with available digital devices to accomplish instructional and organizational goals.
  • Prepare instructional materials for their students with the use of basic technology tools.
  • Select appropriate online sources that are destinated to the learners and warn them to be cautious when working online.

STANDARD 2: Language teachers demonstrate an understanding of a wide range of technology supports for LL and options for using them in a given setting

Goal 2. Language teachers integrate pedagogical knowledge and skills with technology to enhance language teaching and learning.

STANDARD 1: Language teachers identify and evaluate technological resources and environments for suitability to their teaching context.

The teacher needs to identify the technological  resources, environments  as well the limitations of the current teaching. the teacher need to meet specific learning & teaching goals and everything of this resources are alignment with the needs and abilities of the students.



STANDARD 2: Language teachers demonstrate an understanding of a wide range of technology supports for LL and options for using them in a given setting.


Performance indicators
Language teachers can:
  • Identify appropriate technologies some instructional objectives.
  • Use tools to analyze and evaluate if technological options are appropriate.
  • Share information about available technology.
  • Use online technology and deliver instructional or suppor material.
  • Locate and adapt various digital resources.


Standard 3: Language teachers actively strive to expand their skills and knowledge base to evaluate, adopt, and adapt emerging technologies.

Language teachers can:
  • Use technology tools and expand beyond the conventional activities.
  • Keep up with information from various sources.
  • Explore the possibilities inherent in emerging technological with criticla eye.
Standard 4: Language teachers use technology in socially and culturally appropiate, legal, and ethical ways.

Language teachers can:

  • Show sensitivity to the differences in communication ways between cultures, communities, and contexts.






Goal 3. Language teachers apply technology in record-keeping, feedback, and assessment.

STANDARD 1: LANGUAGE TEACHERS EVALUATE AND IMPLEMENT RELEVANT TECHNOLOGY TO AID IN EFFECTIVE LEARNER ASSESSMENT.
